Our Coastal Pods are private oceanfront trailers you can rent by the day, picked up at 3:00 PM and returned by 11:00 AM. An experience is required with every booking and is a separate purchase, chosen when you book: a trail ride, a lesson, or a Sip & Paint session.

Every booking needs an experience, chosen and paid for on the booking page: a beach trail ride $192.60, a one hour horsemanship lesson $160, or a Sip & Paint session $100. It is charged on top of the trailer rate, not included in it.

What is Stay by the Sea at Ocean View Stables?
Eight private Coastal Pods on the oceanfront bluffs of Daly City, just south of San Francisco, with the horses in the paddocks behind them. There are two kinds, Large Trailers and Tiny Houses. Each is rented by the day, picked up at 3:00 PM and returned by 11:00 AM, and every rental also requires a horse experience, which is purchased separately.
How long do I get the pod for?
You rent it by the day. Pickup is at 3:00 PM, when you collect your keys from the barn office, and return is by 11:00 AM the following morning, when the keys go in the barn office drop box. You can rent for a single day or several days in a row, and your pod stays reserved for the whole length of your rental.
Is a horse experience included in the price?
No. An experience is required with every rental and it is a separate purchase, charged on top of the pod rate. You choose it when you book: a Sip and Paint at $100, a one hour Foundational Horsemanship Lesson at $160, or the Horses on the Beach trail ride at $192.60. We do not rent a pod on its own.
