Every program is designed around our horses, our land, and our people — with private use of a Coastal Pod reserved for you as part of the experience.

A horsemanship academy, first.

Leyden Horsemanship is a working equestrian facility and teaching academy. Clinics, lessons, trail rides, and leadership intensives are the heart of everything we do here on the bluff.
Our Coastal Pods exist to support that work. They are a quiet, private space reserved for you throughout your program — somewhere to settle in between sessions, reflect on the day's ride, and be fully present for what comes next.

Use of a Pod is offered only as an accessory to a scheduled horsemanship experience. We are not a hotel, a rental, or a short-term listing — and we do not operate on booking platforms. Every Pod is part of a program.

Eight private Pods sit along the oceanfront bluffs, each one turned toward the Pacific. Step outside and you'll hear the horses in the paddocks just behind you.

Pair your Pod with an experience
Every Pod reservation is built around one or more of our horsemanship programs. Your sales coordinator will shape the itinerary with you, including at least one scheduled experience for each day of your visit.
Programs to choose from include:
• Private and semi-private lessons
• Clinics — groundwork, colt starting, and horsemanship fundamentals
• Guided trail rides along the coast and through the bluffs
• Groom & Saddle — the full rhythm of horse care, start to finish
• Leadership Through Horsemanship — experiential learning for teams and individuals
• Sip & Paint in the Paddock — a creative afternoon with our horses as muses
• Custom immersions and multi-day intensives, built to your goals


How booking works
There's no "Book Now" button on this page — and that's intentional. Every visit is shaped in conversation with our team so your program fits your goals, your riders, and your dates.

​1. Send us an inquiry. Share who's coming, the dates you're considering, and the kind of horsemanship experience you're hoping for.
​2. Our team reaches out. A Leyden coordinator walks you through available programs, matches you with the right Pod, and builds a schedule that includes a horsemanship experience for each day you'll be with us.
​3. You receive a custom itinerary. Confirm your program, and we'll have your Pod, your coach, and your horses ready.
We do not offer standalone Pod reservations and we are not listed on short-term rental platforms. Pod access is available exclusively to active program participants of Leyden Horsemanship and Ocean View Stables.

  


A few things to know
• Every day of your Pod reservation includes a horsemanship experience, lesson, clinic, or on-site service. There's no cap on how much horsemanship you can add — most guests want more.
• Pods are reserved only in the context of an active program at our academy and are not available outside of our on-site services.
• Our facility is gated and staffed. Instructors, barn team, and coordinators are on-site throughout your program.
• Leyden Horsemanship is family-owned and operated, rooted in the California coast and in the tradition of horsemanship that brought us here.

Our Coastal Studios are a day retreat and an accessory to the horse experience — a private place to land before or after your time in the saddle.

The Studios aren’t offered on their own. To reserve one, book a horse experience — a trail ride, lesson, clinic, or Sip & Paint — and add a Studio to your day.

Your time

Studios are yours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 AM, and you’re welcome to reserve several days in a row. Keys are returned no later than 11:00 AM the following morning.

Day use

Studios are reserved for day use; overnight stays are not recommended.
