Your morning dose of horses, nature and cowboy coffee.

Come up to the barn before the workday starts. Pour a cup of cowboy coffee with the owner of Ocean View Stables, then help the wranglers feed the horses their breakfast, or just pet and groom the ones who wander over. When the feeding is done, take the hiking trail down the bluffs to the beach, or stay with the horses a little longer. That is the whole thing. $17 per person.

This is not for horse people only. It is for anyone who wants an hour that feels nothing like the rest of their day. No experience needed, no riding, kids welcome with an adult.

How it works

Pick your morning. Choose a date below. Sessions run Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 8:30 AM only, with up to 20 people each morning.

7:30 sharp. Meet at the barn office. The horses eat on a schedule, so we start on time.

7:35 Coffee, then breakfast for the herd. Grab a flake of hay or a feed bucket if you want to help, or just say good morning to the horses.

8:00 Grooming and hanging out. Brushes are in the tack room.

8:30 Walk the bluff trail to the beach on your own, or linger at the fence. The morning is yours from here.

No sessions on federal-holiday weeks. Closed-toe shoes and a warm layer for coastal fog. Coffee is included; bring your own mug if you have a favorite.
