Social Media & Content Creator (Part-Time, Students Welcome)

Ocean View Stables is hiring a part-time Social Media and Content Creator. Daly City, CA. Written for college students.

We are a working stable on the coast just south of San Francisco. Our guests ride to the beach, our students learn horsemanship in the academy, kids come for camp in the summer, and the barn is busy from first light. All of it happens outside, in front of the Pacific, and most of it never gets filmed. That is the job: be the person with the camera.

This is a part-time role built for someone who is in school. We set the schedule around your classes, we pay hourly, and we would rather teach a sharp student the barn than hire an agency that has never touched a horse.

What you would do

• Shoot short-form video and photos at the barn, at the mounting block, on the trail and at the beach: rides, lessons, camp days, the horses, the crew at work
• Edit reels, shorts and stories on your phone or laptop, and write the captions
• Keep the accounts fed: Instagram and Facebook for Ocean View Stables, and the educational content for the horsemanship school, Leyden Horsemanship
• Help run the content calendar in our scheduling tools, and keep a running shot list for what is coming up: a camp week, a clinic, a foggy morning, golden hour on the bluffs
• Look at what worked and what did not, and tell us plainly: views, saves, follows, and whether a post turned into a booking
• Learn how we handle guest permission before anyone appears on camera, and follow it every time

Who this is for

• A current college student, any major. Marketing, communications, film, journalism, business, or none of the above. What matters is that you already make things: an account you run, a class project, a channel, a reel that did well
• Comfortable shooting and editing vertical video on a phone. CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, Canva, whatever you actually use
• Willing to be outside in wind, fog and sun, early on some mornings and on some weekends, because that is when the rides go out
• Comfortable around large animals, or willing to learn. We will teach you how to move around a horse safely on day one
• Reliable transportation to 2152 Olympic Way, Daly City
• Horse experience is not required. A good eye and the habit of finishing what you start are.

Hours and schedule

Part-time and flexible. We set the schedule around your classes each term. Plan on roughly 8 to 15 hours a week during the school year, with more available in summer if you want it. Some of the hours are at the barn with a camera in your hand; some can be editing from wherever you are.

Pay, please read this before applying

Every position at Ocean View Stables starts at $18.00 per hour, and this one is no different. It does not change based on how much experience you bring in the door.

As you prove yourself, showing up on time, doing good work, and taking on more responsibility, your pay may go up. Raises here are earned, not automatic, and they are based on your performance once we can see it firsthand.
