Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Horse Facility Maintenance Member to join our team. This role involves the daily upkeep and maintenance of our equestrian facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both horses and riders. The ideal candidate will have experience around horses or a strong willingness to learn and engage in horsemanship training.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of stalls, barns, arenas, and surrounding areas
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of facility structures and equipment
- Assist with landscaping tasks, including weed pulling, trimming, and debris removal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of stables and equipment
- Ensure all areas are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the team to support events and special activities
- Prepare horses for lessons, including tacking and grooming
- Care for the trucks, trailers and tractors
- Muck horse stalls and lay new bedding
- Feed horses daily hay and grain following strict diets
Must Have
- Experience in facility maintenance or a related field
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- Reliable transportation to Daly City, CA
Nice to have
- Experience working around horses
- Willingness to participate in at least one horsemanship lesson per month if lacking prior horse experience
- Knowledge of basic equine first aid
- Familiarity with tack maintenance and repair
- Farrier experience
