Ride Camp Far West on a barn horse, or crew for the students who do
Camp Far West is an endurance ride sanctioned by the American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC), held in the Spenceville Wildlife Area near Wheatland and Smartsville, about two and a half hours from the barn. We are taking two students who have passed Level One to ride barn horses, and three volunteers to help the ride and our riders.
The ride: Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2026. Each day has an Intro Ride, a 30 mile ride and a 50 mile ride. The ride describes its trail as fairly flat with some rolling hills and good footing, run in loops with every vet check in camp.
